This was a bit like watching a car wreck. Only I was writing it.
Title: Don’t Ask For More
Fandom/Pairing: Warehouse 13, Bering & Wells
Summary: The more things change, the more they stay the same.
Rain fell in heavy sheets. The concrete beneath Myka’s feet was slick with water and rainbow streaks of oil. Under the amber glow of evening lights it was almost picturesque. Would have been, if not for the sinister situation. The alleyway was entirely shadows and Myka walked down it with her gun drawn, heart pounding.
She was here to collect an artefact. Claudia had not said from whom and any attempts to get more information out of her only yielded cryptic nonsense. An annoying habit Mrs Frederic seemed to have passed on and Claudia was nurturing with every day as caretaker of Warehouse 14.
She did not get vibes but nothing about the mission felt right and all Myka’s senses were on high alert. Every step was slow and calculated. The grip of her gun shifted in her soaking grip. Her clothes stuck to her uncomfortably, like her hair, bringing a chill to her breath she could see in chalky clouds.
